Malaysia joins DesignView

The Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia (MyIPO) has added its national designs to the global database for industrial designs DesignView.

In that way, new 39 000 designs will be available through DesignView which gives access to more than 18 million designs.

All of this means that IP practitioners and business owners now will be able to search for registered designs in Malaysia easily saving time and money while building appropriate design strategies for this country.

Ecuador joins the DesignView database

basin-4067637_960_720.jpgThe EUIPO reports about the accession of Ecuador to the global database for protected industrial designs DesignView. In that way, the participating Patent Offices become 70 and the database gives access to more than 14 million designs around the world.

Latin American invasion regarding important IP tools

photo-1518105779142-d975f22f1b0aFor all of us who are interested in searching for trademarks and industrial designs, a good news has come from EUIPO which announced that several Latin American countries joined important IP tools.

First and foremost Uruguay joined TMView database for trademarks and DesignView database for designs. Apart from this Honduras joined DesignView too.

In brief, this means that national trademarks from Uruguay and national designs from Uruguay and Honduras will be accessible through both databases which by itself is a real advantage.

In addition to that El Salvador and Costa Rica joined the TMClass database responsible for harmonization of goods and services for the purposes of filing trademark applications.

San Marino joins TMView and DesignView databases

EUIPO reports about the accession of San Marino to the TMView and DesignView databases. In that way, the participating offices in TMView become 60 offering access to more than 44,8 millions trademarks. In addition, DesignView database gives access to more than 12,4 million designs from around the world.
