Conan the Barbarian won a new battle this time in New York

helmet-2975555_960_720Robert E Howard Properties which manages the copyright over the well-known US author Robert E Howard won a lawsuit in New York concerning alleged copyright infringement by an individual who produced sculptures in the form of Howard’s characters including Conan the Barbarian.

As it is well known Howard’s works, especially Conan the Barbarian, are widely used for movies, comics, video games and different merchandising products.

According to the court, the produced sculptures violate the Robert E Howard Properties’ copyrights and awarded $21 000 in compensation.
