Nintendo filed a notice of opposition againt an US trademark application for POKE GO applied for Class 25 – clothes. The oppostition was filed based on a family of earlier marks for POKE and POKEMON GO registered in US including for Class 25.
According to Nintendo the later mark could create a confusion among consumers and on top of that it can lead to dilution of the distinctive quality of Poké trademarks by tarnishment and blurring.
